The dramatic footage, showing a torrent of debris surging down a hill in the town of Boone, was filmed by the daughter of the house’s owners.
At least 116 people have died nationwide in Hurricane Helene, according to the BBC’s US partner CBS, and officials warn that figure is expected to rise.
